DOE's sample hours and capacity do not account for your ducts, thermostat, weather or backup heat. The state electricity figure is an average, not your tariff. Before choosing equipment, ask for a load calculation and check what each installed quote includes.
Five- and ten-year totals hold the electricity price steady and leave out maintenance, financing, incentives, taxes and residual value. They cover the quote and modeled electricity, not every cost of owning a system.
